We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-based, and community- centred organisation devoted to the Neolithic and Bronze Age landscape of Thornborough and those other nearby archaeological sites with which they are associated, including the henges at Nunwick, Hutton Moor, and Cana Barn.
Our aim, simply stated, is to help promote and deepen an understanding of these remarkable prehistoric sites through events and resources. Collectively, they represent one of the most remarkable cultural achievements of prehistoric Britain, and as such, are a window into the practices and beliefs of people between 4000-1500 BC.
If you think you may be interested in joining-in and participating in our events, then all you need do is follow or like this page, and watch out for our posts. We also encourage you to share your views, news, and photos so we can all better appreciate, help protect, promote, and enjoy this area’s remarkable archaeology. And as you do so, please remember that this isn’t a place for commercial advertising, jokes which are likely to cause offence, bullying, bad manners, or political commentary. Anything that breaks these rules will be deleted by the page’s administrators. Many thanks and best wishes.
