This is Cana Barn Henge, lying 15km southeast of the Thornborough henges and has an outer diameter of approximately 184m.
I took this drone photo in July 2023. There was a heatwave in June and cattle had been in this grass field just a few weeks before. As can be noted there are strange patterns of parched grass, most of which are broken as they cross the henge features. Can anyone explain what may have caused these features?
The diagonal track is a cattle path to a watering point in the corner.
The dark dotted circles measure approximately 2m and are understood to be small gypsum sink holes.
