Introducing Nova Lee

Nova Lee is a local history and archaeology enthusiast based in North Yorkshire. Although her career has focused on medical research she holds a degree in history and retains a keen interest in the subject.

Nova is an active member of a number of community archaeology groups in the region where she helps co-ordinate events and regularly participates in digs and related activities . An aspect of community archaeology she particularly appreciates is the mental health benefits of engaging local people in group events and has seen this in action in the post lockdown period when activities such as field walking and finds cleaning have brought a diverse group of people together and provided a welcome connection.

Although she is at the start of her journey exploring the archaeology of North Yorkshire, her enthusiasm coupled with her desire to link community groups together and share knowledge will hopefully bring a different perspective to the TAG committee.
