We wanted to warmly thank all of you who came along and supported TAG’s first ever event on Saturday in West Tanfield Memorial Hall.
Around 150 people attended, some after long journeys. No doubt there is room for improvement, but we, the organizers, were very pleased with how it went. What really stood out was everyone’s enthusiasm! There is a lot of love out there for the Thornborough complex and its landscape setting. And they are truly exciting places to visit and discuss.
There are, of course, other people to thank, for a great deal of hardwork goes into these events. We would like to express our gratitude to English Heritage, with whom we co-organized the event. They not only provided the tours, but paid for the hall hire, and kindly lent us their projection equipment. The refreshments and lovely cakes were courtesy of the wonderful ladies of the local WI, there throughout the day to keep everyone fed and watered.
And lastly, our very own Geoff Nunn, Management Committee member extraordinaire, whom spent a great deal of time pulling everything together and ensuring the day was a success. Thank you! And on that note, I leave you with an image of our new logo.
