Organising for 2025

I’m very sorry we haven’t posted anything for some time, but we’ve been extremely busy behind the scenes getting things organised.

We are applying for charitable status, reaching out to sponsors, thinking through our events programme, and most importantly, planning the fieldwork. Hopefully, we will have a great deal to announce early in the new year, and whilst I can’t go into details just yet, we are very excited about 2025.

In terms of fieldwork, we intend to offer a ‘taster project’, during which people can experience what it is like being a field archaeologist whilst developing some of the required skills. There will also be a number of community-centred and research-driven fieldwork modules which will run for longer, and hopefully, make a major contribution to our knowledge and understanding of the Neolithic and Bronze Age of the Ure-Swale Catchment.

For now, and on behalf of TAG’s Management Committee, I would like to thank you all for your support in 2024- and wish you and your loved ones a wonderfully restive, peaceful and joyous Winter Solstice-Christmas. All our very best wishes. (Jan Harding)
