I would like to wish each and everyone of you a very happy Christmas. Thornborough, and those other wonderful monuments found nearby, are very special places: and I like to think that TAG works hard to create a very special sort of ‘family’ to help us all enjoy and understand these landscapes. Its hardworking Management Committee members and Advisors give up large amounts of time and expertise for free. They do so for their love of the archaeology. Our dedicated volunteers put in the hours of hardwork with a smile on their face and a good humour that’s contagious. And for those who come along to one of our events, not knowing what to expect, I hope you find other like-minded souls with whom you want to spend time. The monuments bring us all together, just as as they did thousands of years ago for the winter solstice. And that is something to rejoice.
