TAG CALENDAR – TWO WEEKS TO GO!

We have just under two weeks to go before we close the 2027 TAG Calendar photo competition. Thank you to all those who have submitted images so far.

Spotlight on Standing Stones

Here is a selection of images showcasing Yorkshire’s magnificent monoliths, submitted for inclusion in the calendar.

The Rudston Monolith in East Yorkshire is Britain’s tallest standing stone, rising 7.6 metres above the ground. It stands at the centre of an important prehistoric ceremonial landscape.

The Devil’s Arrows, Boroughbridge, have recently attracted considerable media attention following new discoveries concerning the origins of the stones. Thank you to Sarah for submitting this striking image of the Aurora Borealis glowing behind one of the Arrows .
