March is here, and with it the promise of spring! 

As we turn our TAG calendar to March,  let’s take a moment to look back at this time last year.  A cold, crisp day at Hutton Moor set the scene for our very first fieldwalking event—a memorable start to our journey.

So what have we got planned for 2026?

• 22 March – Copt Hewick Fieldwalking
• 2 May – TAG Field Trip visiting key prehistory sites in the Vale of Mowbray
• 3-4 May – Windmill Hill Excavation
• 1–3rd May – TAG at Beltane – come and visit our stall at the festival
• 18th July – TAG CBA Festival of Archaeology Event, West Tanfield Hall

There are likely to be additional dates for Windmill House over the summer, including the second of the May Bank Holidays. At this stage, we are not yet ready
