We have some important and urgent news to share with you all.
You may recall us mentioning some time ago that we hoped to do some fieldwork at the Sinderby henge. Well, we are. And it’s happening this week!
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we have a geophysics survey being conducted at the henge by Dr. Ben Edwards of Manchester Metropolitan University. TAG will also be completing a walkover earthwork survey of the monument and conducting fieldwalking outside the Scheduled Area.
We are terribly excited by this news, and are asking for a small number of volunteers to join us all day on Good Friday (3rd April) and between 10am and 2pm on Saturday (4th April). I appreciate its very short notice, sorry, but there were good reasons why we couldn’t share this information with you any earlier, but if you’re interested in helping out with the geophysics survey, or participating in the fieldwalking, then please get in-touch via the ‘Contact Us‘ page. There are only a limited number of places, so do so promptly. One thing to note is that the field has been ploughed, making it very heavy going.
Trust me when I say its exhausting trudging up an down a large ploughed field! Thank you.
